Question:
Our carpet needs cleaning badly. However, our 7-month-old daughter is all over the floor (even though we have a king-size quilt down). Is it better for her to have it cleaned or to leave it?

Answer:
I recommend cleaning your carpet. Many carpet cleaning products are non-toxic. Newly cleaned carpets remain damp for several hours after cleaning, but this is not really harmful to your baby. If you can avoid using the newly cleaned room for a few hours and ventilate that room well, you will avoid any possible harm.
